OmegaTruth helps you explore your family history: you chat with History Buddy, grow a family tree, and keep photos and documents in a Vault. This page explains in plain language what OmegaTruth keeps, why, who helps us run it, and how you stay in control.
1. What OmegaTruth keeps
| What | When it is created | Why we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and password | When you create an account and sign in | To run your account and keep your information tied to you. Your password is handled by our sign-in service, which stores it in protected form. |
| 4-digit sign-up code | When you create your account | To confirm your email address. The code is emailed to you. |
| Your messages to History Buddy | When you chat | To show your conversation and to produce History Buddy's replies. |
| Dictated words | When you use the microphone on your phone's keyboard | Your phone's keyboard turns speech into text. OmegaTruth receives the text you send and records no audio. |
| Photos and documents | When you add them from your photo library, camera, or files, in the Vault or in chat | To store them in your Vault, show them back to you, and read names, dates, and places in them so History Buddy can help. |
| Family tree entries | When you add an ancestor, or when History Buddy finds one in your conversation or documents and adds it | To draw your tree and its Ancestors and Generations counts. |
| Progress details | As you use the app | To show how far your research has come. |
OmegaTruth is free. It has no paid plans, so it keeps no payment details.
2. What OmegaTruth leaves alone
OmegaTruth shows no ads and has no advertising ID. It leaves your location, contacts, and calendar untouched, and it holds no DNA files.
3. Who helps us run OmegaTruth
We share information with service providers so the app works. They act on our instructions and use the information to provide their service to us.
- OnSpace Cloud hosts our database, file storage, and sign-in service.
- AI service providers, reached through OnSpace AI, generate History Buddy's replies and read text and details from your documents and photos. When you send a message, the message and any attachments or pasted text travel to them so they can write the reply.
- Authorities, when the law asks us to share information.
We use none of your content to advertise to you, and we sell none of your information.
4. Privacy among members
Your Vault, tree, and conversations belong to your account. Other OmegaTruth members do not see or search them, and files are stored in a private area linked to your account. OmegaTruth has no cross-member sharing of documents or family trees.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove it as described in section 7. Backups clear within 30 days.
6. Protecting your information
Information travels between the app and our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our database separates each account's rows so members see their own records. Please choose a strong, unique password and keep it private.
7. Your choices and deleting your account
- Delete your account in the app: open Settings and choose Delete my account.
- Delete your account on the web: visit delithiuslabs.org/omegatruth/delete-account and follow the steps, or email admin@delithiuslabs.org from your sign-in email address with the subject "Delete my OmegaTruth account".
- What deletion removes: your sign-in, profile, chat history, Vault photos and documents, family tree entries, and progress details, within 30 days, usually right away.
- What we keep after deletion: records the law asks us to keep, if any exist.
- Individual items and copies: write to admin@delithiuslabs.org to remove an individual photo, document, or tree entry, or to request a copy of your information.
8. Age
OmegaTruth is for people 18 and older.
9. History Buddy's guidance
History Buddy is an AI guide. Its replies are suggestions to explore; please compare important details with original records and trusted sources. OmegaTruth offers general research help, and a licensed attorney or professional genealogist is the right partner for legal and certified-research matters. See our Terms of Use for more.
10. Updates to this policy
When we change this page, we update the effective date above and show a notice in the app for significant changes.
