OmegaTruth Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the OmegaTruth app, made by Delithius Labs LLC, based in North Carolina ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using OmegaTruth, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

1. Welcome

OmegaTruth helps you explore your family history. You chat with History Buddy, grow a family tree, and keep photos and documents in a Vault. OmegaTruth is for people 18 and older.

2. OmegaTruth is free

You can use every part of OmegaTruth at no charge, and the app shows no ads. If we ever add a paid feature, we will tell you first and ask before any charge.

3. Your account

Sign up with your own email address and a strong password, and keep your password private. Please share accurate information when you create your account, and write to us if you suspect someone else is using it.

4. Your content stays yours

The photos, documents, messages, and family tree entries you add belong to you. You give us permission to store them, show them back to you, and pass them to our service providers so History Buddy can read your documents and write replies, as the Privacy Policy describes. That permission ends when you delete the item or your account, with backups clearing within 30 days.

Please add content you have the right to use, and keep the privacy of living relatives in mind when you add their details.

5. Be kind

OmegaTruth is a warm place for family stories. Please be respectful in your messages and content, and follow the law. Please leave the app's security and other members' accounts untouched: no attacks, scanning, overloading, or attempts to reach anyone else's information. We may pause or close an account that harms others or the app, and we will explain why by email when we do.

6. A family-history research aid

OmegaTruth and History Buddy offer general research help and ideas for where to look next. They are a helpful companion for exploring, and they are not legal advice or genealogical proof.

7. Where results come from

Records to explore come from public archives and collections run by other organizations, such as the Internet Archive and the Library of Congress. OmegaTruth links you to those sources and opens their own search pages. We do not run those archives, so what they hold, how they describe it, and when it is available are decided by them, and each site has its own terms. When a search finds nothing, History Buddy says so and suggests a next step.

8. AI replies

To write a reply, OmegaTruth sends your message and any attachments or pasted text to AI service providers. Please share what you are comfortable sharing for that purpose. Replies are generated and may differ from one request to the next.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account whenever you like. In the app, open Settings and choose Delete my account. On the web, follow the steps at delithiuslabs.org/omegatruth/delete-account. Deletion removes your information within 30 days, usually right away.

10. Our content

The OmegaTruth name, app design, and software belong to Delithius Labs. Please ask before you copy or reuse them. Your own content remains yours.

11. Provided as is

OmegaTruth is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties about the app, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using it. Because the app is free, we ask that any claim stays within what you paid us, which is zero dollars, to the extent the law permits. Nothing here changes rights the law gives you.

12. Governing law

North Carolina law governs these terms.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and show a notice in the app for important changes.
